2019                       Extensive one hour video. Effects of tongue tie on infants and feeding, children and speech and adults

with oral and dental problems. Teaching proper position and latch.

1981                      Supported logistically and financially the establishment of FIRST BIRTHING ROOM in Alberta in Calgary General Hospital.

 

1979 – 1984          La Leche League volunteer, helped mothers overcome problems in breastfeeding and assisted training of medical students.

 

1974 – 1978          Initiated programs for school lunches for kids in Lakeview schools.  

 

                              Promoted girls’ rights to use the playground!

  • Skyline Hikers of the Canadian Rockies:  Member, annual hiker and occasional camp physician.

INTERESTS to the present 2019

  • Hiking, cycling, snow-shoeing, x -country skiing, receiving Gym Training at Mount Royal University ,classical music, reading and travel.  Supported through volunteer work and financial contributions Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, Calgary Opera, Calgary Girls’ Choir, Lakeview Community Association and other organizations. Singing in Festival chorus and church choir.

Teaching my granddaughter about providing support to our community by her engaging in various charities. From age 12 to the present now 16.

Supporting her school, Rundle Academy, which specialises in teaching children with learning disabilities.
